Founded by Ben and Harold in 2018, Submarine was born of a desire to create the best quality content with minimal fuss. Both having young families, time spent working needed to be as productive and effective as possible - while delivering quality results.
And so Submarine was born with a vision. By leveraging our own talents, and the network of highly-skilled professionals around us, we took the plunge and built an agile and efficient working model that means we can turn our hand to almost anything.
We both share a passion for creating exciting video content. That’s why we created Submarine Films together and we carry this ethos with us onto every job.
Ben learned first-hand working on shows like Bear Grylls: Mission Survive that great-looking shows can be made by keeping the team lean, crewed by the best people working with pinpoint precision. His passion for finding the perfect shot keeps our work fresh and relevant.
Harold’s background in children’s TV saw him adapt often. One week he would be directing a multi-camera extreme stunt, the next going out solo with a camera strapped to his back. This experience confirmed that making great content isn’t about budget and scale, but creativity, vision, and execution.
We’re based in Manchester and sit within a well-established network of creatives and crews which allows us to operate as a small business with the ability to handle large scale productions.
